Praise and Worship

PRAISE AND WORSHIP.
Psalm of David.
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me,
bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
We have the ability to bless our Creator.
We bless the Lord all times.
David blesses Him every day.
We as Children heirs to the throne of God bless His name always.
We bless Him through our praise and worship.
The Happiness of Those Who Trust in God
A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.
34 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise
shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear
of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
WHY DO WE PRAISE GOD?
Because of Who He is.
Psalm 47:6
King James Version (KJV)
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
Psalm 47:7
King James Version (KJV)
For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
WHY DO WE PRAISE GOD?
Because of What He does.
Psalm 103:1-5
Praise for the Lord’s Mercies
A Psalm of David.
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me,
bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
WHO IS TO PRAISE GOD?
Psalm 22:26
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
    those who seek the
Lord will praise him—
    may your hearts live forever!
Psalm 150:6
New King James Version (NKJV)
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
PRAISE HIM WITH WHAT?
Psalm 150
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
The Church should have many song leaders, guitarist, Pianist, Drummers.
Because we want to praise Him.
Do get involved in this ministry.
When do we Praise God?
At all times.
Ps34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise
shall continually be in my mouth.
In every circumstances.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Some Christians can praise God when things go on well with them.
The minute something not good happens they blame God .
And some angry with God.
Where are we to Praise God?
1.In the Church.
Hebrews 2:12
“I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
2. Among the Nation.
Psalm 57:9
I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing to You among the nations.
3 On our beds.
Psalm 63:4-6
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth shall praise
You with joyful lips.
When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the
night watches.
What is worship?
Worship is an expression of love and adoration.
It is possible to admire someone and appreciate what they do without being in love with them.
In the same way, worship has to do with our love for the Lord.
Those who worship me must worship in Spirit and Truth.
John 4:23
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
What is worshipping in Truth?
Many elements of worship in the OT were simply a shadow or figure of that to come a. The Tabernacle was a symbol - Heb 9:8-9 b. The Law with its worship was only a shadow of that to come - Heb 10:1 2. Christ is now in the true tabernacle (heaven)- Heb 9:11-12,24 a. We should expect the worship of the true to be different from that of the shadow b. We have already seen that to be the case: 1) Old Covenant worship, which was but a shadow, was physical in nature 2) New Covenant worship is according to the true realities (God is Spirit, Christ in heaven) and is therefore more spiritual in nature -- The emphasis is on that which is true (real), not which was a shadowy symbol of things to come

 God expects the body of Christ to come often to praise Him.
Praise is the power of heaven.
The powers of darkness is broken as we praise and glorify Him.
If the whole Church can come together every service to praise Him the bible tells me God will command a blessing to the Church.
You will see miracle and signs and wonders in this Church.
Come for all the meetings.
You will make a different for  you and the whole Church..
Your Commitment.
The greatest thing I will ever do in this or in eternity is to worship God.
I determine today to be a true worshipper and to make this my supreme goal in my life.
I will teach someone else this vital way of life also. Amen.
