}ALL OF GOD’S PROMISES
WERE FULFILLED.
}1) Sure, 2) Full of
Hope for the Righteous, and 3) Conditional if you are not under grace.
}I want to encourage
the brethren to put their trust in the promises of God. Not on man or any human
government.
}If you depend on any
human being for your promises to be fulfilled you will have a back lash.
}
}Acts 13 29-33
}29 Now when they had fulfilled all that was written
concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree
and laid Him in a tomb. 30 But God raised Him
from the dead. 31 He was
seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who
are His witnesses to the people. 32 And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which
was made to the fathers. 33 God has
fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is
also written in the second Psalm:
}

}9) It is on account
of God’s promises that we live the Christian life today.
}10) Let’s look at
character of the promises of God.
}
}God cannot lie
Hebrews 6:13-18 “For
when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he
swear by himself, Saying, Surely
blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after
he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the
greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein
God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability
of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which
it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have
fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:”
}
}God has always kept
His promises to men.
}Noah — Genesis
6:17-18
}Abraham . God
promised Abraham a child. Genesis 17:19 “And God said, Sarah thy wife shall
bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his
name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting
covenant, and with his seed after him.”
}Romans 4:20-21 “He
staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith,
giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he
was able also to perform.”
}3) Others
}. Moses — deliver the
children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
}b. David — establish
his throne.

}
} God kept his promise
to His Son, Jesus.
}Peter says that the
promise God made in Psalm 16:10 was to Jesus.
}This promise was
fulfilled in the resurrection of Christ. Acts 2:31-32
}Because God kept his
promise to Jesus, we can be assured God will keep His promise to us as well.
Romans 6:5 ” For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death,
we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

on our faith in God. Hebrews 11:1

hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). In Greek hearing the word of “Kristos”
}

trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed.”
}6) To the
faithful He promises that we shall be like Him and see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2

be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall
see him as he is. “
}SURE PROMISES
}7) To the
faithful He promises eternal life. 1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he

CONDITION SET FOR BELIEVERS?

make you free.”
